On August 3, 2023, the prestigious Davis Cup made a special appearance in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Following Canada’s historic victory in the 2022 tournament, the trophy embarked on a cross-country tour, culminating in a celebratory event in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The visit was particularly significant as it honored Team Canada Captain, Frank Dancevic, a Niagara Falls native. During the event, Dancevic received the key to the city of Niagara Falls, a fitting tribute to his leadership and contribution to Canada’s tennis success.

The appearance of the Davis Cup in Niagara-on-the-Lake provided a unique opportunity for local residents and tennis enthusiasts to celebrate this momentous achievement and experience a piece of Canadian sporting history firsthand.
